Hail the Size of Golf Balls

Ok, so it's only hail the size of pencil erasers. NEVERTHELESS, a perfect day to update a blog. It's been a long time! A few notable events have occurred this past month.

Recap:

My birthday & dessert party were equally as sweet! As for the delicious food, I made "Zucchini- Parmesan Squares". I didn't make them in squares, though. I made them in mini dishes (like appetizers).. pictures below! If you're interested, the recipe:

Winter, winter go away.

I know I'll get senioritis (if I don't have it already) as soon as it gets nice out, but I'm really done with the cold. Not that I want to retire my moon boots just yet, but I'm really sick today, and cranky at the winter. Thought I had nothing to post, but found some images from before my dear friends left for Parigi. There are some pictures to prove I can make a fire, and also that I AM getting my Vit-C.
Check it.

Jinjoo making the Korean sush'.

 Binna and the seaweed

After they made this rice, Binna made tea out of the burnt rice stuck to the pot. Probably the most delicious thing I've ever had

Gli ingredienti

Orange meets blood orange and has a baby. This is that baby!

Also, I think these are the 2nd coolest shoes I've ever owned
(I used to have a pair of black glitter patent leather boots. Can't top that.)

Free At Last

I am free at last from the chains of 7th semester work (only to be imprisoned once more in 2 weeks. The dreaded 8th semester!!!)

I'm only being a tiny bit dramatic, & I'm not even dreading starting class again- just really happy to have a little time off. Actually, this whole semester will be dedicated to my final collection which I haven't talked about all that much in this blog, but it's inspired by insects. Enough about me! I have so many pictures that need to go up here. I got back from Berlin yesterday, & have some really sweet images, but I'm a little backlogged. SO! You're gonna have to wait for those bad boys. Here's the catch up from before I left for Germany:

We all went out last last weekend for Isadora's b-day

We all know my dream is actually food photography

I come home from one of the busiest days Isadora & I have had all year, and she is standing in the kitchen making these little savory pastries. So amazing.

The finished product!

Amsterdam Xmas

Hallo! I decided I'm going to learn to speak Dutch (because my vocab is a sad mix of crappy Italian and ever diminishing English, & I need to add more confusion to my life). Anyway, this Christmas was really...silly! And fun.
Check It.

The first of the delicious fried food: fried apples!

Award: Best Xmas Eve sighting

This is exactly what you think it is: A (really high) old man covered in lights, singing X-mas songs in a decorated boat, using a fishing pole to collect money from the crowd.

Greta, the Xmas Cactus

The present pile!!!

Just wanted to cut in and say that these next photos...YUM. Frankie and I made some awesome bolognese sauce (with pasta), and zucchini with parmesan cheese. So good.
Come to think of it
I think this is my last post in 2012. Have a great new year!
