Ok, so it's only hail the size of pencil erasers. NEVERTHELESS, a perfect day to update a blog. It's been a long time! A few notable events have occurred this past month.

My birthday & dessert party were equally as sweet! As for the delicious food, I made "Zucchini- Parmesan Squares". I didn't make them in squares, though. I made them in mini dishes (like appetizers).. pictures below! If you're interested, the recipe:

Where is the time going?!

Hello, end of March?!?! I can't believe how fast these past few months have gone. Although I'm a lunatic getting ready for this fashion show, I'm absolutely in love with the weather. All I want to do is lay in a park in the sun. Sadly, not gonna happen. I've been working really hard on my final thesis (fashion show) that is taking place the end of May, and I just wanted to say that I will be updating about that more often (it's getting exciiiitiiiing).

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this, but there are only 4 other girls in my class. We want to show as much as we can, so instead of designing the mandatory 3 looks, we're all doing 5-7 looks. We also have an amazing group of professors who have helped get fabric sponsors and a location! Instead of feeling like we're having a "student exhibit", we've been given the opportunity to have an actual fashion show for our first collections. I could talk about this forever, but just one last thing :) I'm taking a printing class in Como, Italy, and it's the most amazing experience of my life. For this collection (which I've been calling "Crunch"), I have designed my own prints which are in the process of being printed. Almost all of my fabrics are original designs. Can't wait!

Winter, winter go away.

I know I'll get senioritis (if I don't have it already) as soon as it gets nice out, but I'm really done with the cold. Not that I want to retire my moon boots just yet, but I'm really sick today, and cranky at the winter. Thought I had nothing to post, but found some images from before my dear friends left for Parigi. There are some pictures to prove I can make a fire, and also that I AM getting my Vit-C.

 Binna and the seaweed

After they made this rice, Binna made tea out of the burnt rice stuck to the pot. Probably the most delicious thing I've ever had

Also, I think these are the 2nd coolest shoes I've ever owned
(I used to have a pair of black glitter patent leather boots. Can't top that.)

Berlin Part 2

Ciao a tutti! Here is the second (read: best) part of Berlin! What you've all been waiting for: The Dali museum and the Ramones museum! Oh, how I enjoyed my time in Germany. Not only did I constantly discover interesting places and cool stores, the food was so delicious.

I'm trying to catch up with all my pictures! Frankie was here until today, and school starts tomorrow, but I'm trying my best :)
For now...

Berlin, where Jackii will become a starving artist and eventually die (happy)

Long story short, Berlin rules. The seniors (all 5 of us) took a 4-5 day trip to attend a few trade shows and fashion shows during Berlin Fashion Week. We went to Bread & Butter, which is my favorite trade show so far, as well as Premium and..an eco-show I can't remember the name of right now. We ended up having one of the last days free, which was realllly nice. I used it to check out the Dali museum and the Ramones museum! I also did a little bit of shopping- not too much because I left my wallet in a cab the first day- but the stores were really tiny & really cool.

P.S. I need to separate these because I have so many pictures. This is the first 2-3 days. I'll post the Ramones and Dali museums next.

So, I like the weird stuff. Typewriter hat.

Kenny Random.

It was cold. I wore Moon Boots. Everywhere.

Ron Galella exhibit- I can't say I condone paparazzi so I wasn't sure about it. But another exhibit inside was VERY intense. I was really moved by the photographer's work: Gundula Schulze Eldowy.
